Scraper Self-Cleaning Filter
Model: Customizable scraper or brush type; 304/316L stainless steel
Automatic cleaning, differential-pressure backwashing, precision filtration, and intelligent contaminant discharge
Product Details
Product Overview
The fully automatic scraper self-cleaning filter is available in internal-scraper and external-scraper configurations. It consists of a geared motor, housing, filter screen, scraper cleaning assembly, differential-pressure control system, electrical control cabinet, discharge valve, and other components.
Unlike backwash self-cleaning water filters, scraper filters are suitable not only for water but also for the efficient self-cleaning filtration of viscous media such as solvents, acidic and alkaline liquids, polymers, and coatings. Filtration ratings range from 30 to 1,500 μm, and the filter can handle liquids with viscosities up to 800,000 cP. It is widely used in water treatment, petrochemicals, metallurgy, power generation, fine chemicals, coatings, inks, papermaking, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and metalworking.
The motor-driven scraper filter operates fully automatically and provides high filtration accuracy with stable, reliable performance. It is an ideal replacement for conventional manual filters and disposable filter media, and in many applications it can replace cartridge filters, bag filters, basket strainers, and vibrating-screen filters.
Operating Principle
The process fluid enters the filter through the inlet and passes through the screen, which retains contaminants larger than its openings. As contaminants accumulate and the preset differential pressure is reached, the differential-pressure control system sends a signal.
The geared motor drives the rotating scraper to remove contaminants blocking the screen. The system automatically opens the bottom discharge valve to expel the contaminants, after which the filter returns to its normal differential pressure and continues operating.

Features and Benefits
The scraper arrangement and cleaning angle are optimized so the geared motor can clean the filter element thoroughly. The cleaning assembly combines a scraper with a properly tensioned spring to reduce screen wear. The spring also compensates for scraper wear, extending the scraper blade’s service life.
The unit uses a wedge-wire filter element made of V-shaped stainless-steel wire and stainless-steel support rods. Its smooth side forms the filtration surface and its openings are continuous slots. This special wedge-wire construction resists clogging, is easy to clean, provides a long service life, and reduces both discharge volume and material loss.
