Product Overview
The candle filter is an advanced, safe and efficient closed clarification system. Solid particles or filter aid form the filtration medium, while the vertical candle-element design minimizes residual liquid and supports manual, pneumatic or electric discharge. Multiple element constructions, including 304/316L stainless steel, PP, PPS and PTFE, are available. Reusable filter media reduce consumable costs, and the sealed housing helps prevent leakage during production.
Working Principle
During filtration, a pump sends the material into the filter. As the liquid passes through the filter cloth, solids gradually build up on its surface and form a filter cake. The small gaps between cake particles retain contaminants and clarify the filtrate. Until the cake is formed, the clear liquid can be recirculated to the feed tank; once the required filtration level is reached, the filtrate is sent to the next process step.
